Julian John is the Managing Director of Delsion, a People & Development consultancy that focuses on Learning & Development and inclusion solutions. The social goal of Delsion is to: “Make Wales and leading nation around inclusion, specifically disability inclusion in the workplace“
This seminar aims to engage and educate you around disability inclusion in the workplace. It highlights the opportunities that are presented to organisations by focusing on inclusion as well as giving practical advice and sharing best practices around the subject matter.
Mike John - Motivating Care Staff & Real Person Centred Care
This seminar will provide a deeper, clinical understanding of Dementia, and many Mental Health conditions. Within the field of supportive care, it is vital that front-line staff have the competence & confidence to proactively provide the right support for individuals at all levels.
Motivating and making staff feel valued is vital, staff will work more proactively as a team if they feel valued and respected. Mike John will provide this with solid experience, and clinical evidence which will inspire and motivate staff to make a difference within any care environment.
Sioned Quirke RD - Realising a world leading obesity/healthy weight strategy in Wales
Sioned Quirke is a registered dietician and one of Wales’ leading expert on weight management. She works for the Aneurin Bevan Health Board and regularly consults with the National Assembly Wales on matters regarding obesity.
This session will look at progress thus far on the Welsh Government’s obesity/healthy weight strategy, what it includes, what’s missing, and what will need to be done to make it a truly world leading strategy to tackle one of the biggest public health crisis facing Wales.
